Example of a Past-Life Regression
Let me give you an example of how this might work. Imagine a 40-year-old man whose neck has been in chronic pain for almost five years. He's tried all sorts of modalities, without luck. He comes to my office for a hypnosis session, and I discover that he also experiences problems in his relationships and work because he tends to hold back out of fear.
I guide him through a meditation that helps him access the memories stored in the neck. The man begins to see visions of a person in another time and place. As I ask more questions, the picture fills in: In a past lifetime this man had his neck cut off for questioning the authorities. He spoke truth to power and died for it.
At the time of death this man thought: “I won't put my neck on the line ever again!” This man now has an opportunity to put that experience into context. He might decide, “Well that was then, and this is now. Sometimes it makes sense to speak up, and sometimes it doesn't. I don't want to always make the same decision.” We end the session by releasing old energy in the neck and bringing in new vitality.
Remarkably, his neck pain totally disappears after accessing this information and putting the pain into a greater context. Furthermore, he is more willing to speak up and get involved in his professional and intimate relationships.
Can I Be Hypnotized and Really See A Past Life?
Schools don't teach students how to access their past lives. It's not a familiar topic, so it makes sense to have some doubt and apprehension. You don't need to worry, though, because people are consistently surprised by what happens in a session.
